Thermoprene produces custom TPR profiles for many consumer extrusion applications, including these guitar pick holders. These items snap mount to the microphone boom, and hold about a dozen guitar picks for use in live performance and studio sessions. Santoprene was chosen for this project due to its excellent extrusion processing properties, and it can be colored and screen printed by the customer.

Lathe Cutting
Lathe cutting is very common in the production of rubber washers, from EPDM, Neoprene, Polyisoprene, etc. Lathe cut materials can start as mandrel wrapped blanks or extruded tubing. Washers and bushings are also produced by die cutting and water jet cutting. Many components are molded, and metal features such as bushings and threaded inserts can be overmolded with rubber to make a composite item.

Thermoprene produced this innovative threshold to fill dynamic gaps in floor coverings which expand and contract with various environmental conditions. TPR was selected for this application due to its flexible and durable characteristics. It can also be colored to match different flooring materials.

Thermoprene produces molded rubber components as well as extruded.  The simple bumpers are produced from compression molded EPDM rubber.  EPDM provides excellent durability and economy for applications where color and aesthetics is not a priority.  Other TPR materials can be produced in those applications
